Things you must keep when trekking to Mt. Everest base camp

There are numerous things including your items of clothing must keep in your backpack before heading to the Mt. Everest base camp trek. But we are talking about some mandatory things that are needed for doing this trek. They are as follows;

  • Your Original Passport:- The original passport of every visitor is checked at the entrance when having a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Lukla. As you know, Lukla is the trekking starting point for going to EBC.
  • EBC trek Permit:- This is the most important thing. Without it, your trekking to the Everest region cannot move on even an inch. This permit card will be checked en route to the Mt. Everest trek.
  • Sagarmatha National Park Permit:- In order to reach the base camp of Mt. Everest, your trail goes through the National park area. So, you must buy it for entering the park.
  • Local Permit:- Nowadays, Sherpa communities of the Everest region are issuing a local permit that you must buy for entering this region. The amount they collect from this permit will be used for sake of their community development.
  • Kathmandu to Lukla Flight Ticket:- You must buy a flight ticket for going to Lukla. Otherwise, you need to have a trek from Jiri which takes longer days to complete the Everest base camp trek.
